Letter to mom

Dear Mom,

I don’t even know where to begin. There will never be enough words to describe how much I appreciate you, how blessed I am to have you or to explain to you how much of a role model, you have always been to me.

Your love and compassion for your children show in everything you do; you have made ample sacrifices for us and continue to do so every day. You have not only been an amazing mother to us, but you have shown me what it means to be a strong woman.

Your unconditional love and undying support have gotten me through my own struggles; seeing how you handle your own struggles has taught me how to be strong through mine. Knowing I have a mother like you allows me to be strong, I know I have a support system in you to get me through anything I may face, big or small.

I hope you reading this makes you feel loved and appreciated and also helps you to realize what an impact you have made on your children! I can’t wait to see what memories we will continue to make. I love you!

Love,

Letter to mom

Dear Bestie (My mom),

From the time I was born, till today, you’ve been my best friend ma! Remember that time when I was scared to swim, you motivated me and joked about how you would jump into the ocean to save me?

Because of you, I have become a better person, I have become better at pursuing my passion and I am an individual with my own identity.

Thank you for being my best friend and guess what? No one can replace you!

Your son
Vishanth

Letter to Mother Earth

Dear Mother Earth,

Today I have mixed feelings, I am feeling good that I am writing this letter to you, but at the same time it’s killing me inside thinking why it took so long.

You gifted us lush green lands, sea, and meadows with rainbows on top but we littered it with filth. We bored holes in your chest to squeeze out water and we wasted it in swimming pools, and much more...

I am deeply hurt and promise to do my best.

Let’s wake up and pay attention.. We need to work together, setting aside our differences, learning to face our difficulties in a different way. We must adopt a new behavior, a new sustainable approach, instead of our destructive ways.

I am making the commitment to do my part and start a collective movement to preserve, protect, and cherish you.

With gratitude (and a whole lot more),
Pranesh JK

Letter to Movie Theatres

Dear movie theatres,

For a movie buff like me, to watch movies in the theatres is an actual stressbuster. Due to unforeseen circumstances that are taking place, it has definitely crashed my movie watching schedule. I was particularly excited for the new releases in the coming week. Now, i’m just convincing myself to watch it on my TV screen.

This is highly disappointing for me as I miss the adrenaline rush and excitement that comes with watching a movie in the theatre. I hope everything will get back to normal very soon and will enjoy our normal lives together.

Letter to traffic jam

Dear traffic jam,

I miss commuting to work and hustling and bustling through the streets. Mostly, I miss the traffic jam!

The sound of all those busy vehicles honking, the police using a whistle to control maniacs and all the people trying to cross the street. It’s surprising how life has come to a standstill suddenly. It’s a good thing that nature is revamping in all this chaos, something that I admire the most.

Who knew that one day, I would ever say that I actually miss the traffic jam!

Your,

Letter to homo sapiens

Hello Homo Sapiens of the world!,

I miss the everyday human contact. I miss the coconut seller who gives me tender coconut every morning on my way to the office. I miss the smile of my class instructor. I miss the smile of my bus conductor, who knows I don’t belong to this city, still smiles. I miss the security guard at my office entrance, who greets me with a smile. I miss the happy faces at work, I miss my team, and never ending luncheons. I miss the everyday routine. When all is well I am grateful for this time off. But I really miss human company.

To the trying times !
May all of us fight it back !
Love

Letter to dad

Hi Dad,

Together we have seen dark and bright days for the past 27 years. You protected me like a brother , cared for me endlessly and provided me with many things which you didn't have when you grew up.

Our relationship was decided by god and we have to maintain it till death. I still miss our long walks and secret restaurant visits. I know so much about the world just because of you. Your positive shades have motivated me to dream big and never ever give up.

Thanks for everything.
Regards,
Swati

Letter to mom

Dear SuperMom,,

How are you and papa doing? Due to this unforeseen epidemic, I am confined to stay in the lodge. I really miss homemade food and especially made from your hands that made them delicious and tasty. Since the lockdown, I am only able to eat simple food and usually limited to buying just what I need. I truly miss the aroma of the food you cooked which not only made my taste buds happy but engulfed the whole house. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Till then take care of yourself and papa.

Your wonderful son,
Kamal Varma.

Letter to a colleague

Dear work buddy,,

Missing all the fun times at work and all the chaos. WFH is not the same without you around. I miss sharing our lunch, always excited to see what we got and explore all the restaurants nearby to taste different cuisines.
The best memories I spent in a day were with you…

I hope things get better soon and we get back to work asap!

Loads of love,
Pooja

Letter to sister

Hey didi,,

Thank you didi for taking care of me all the time.

Even when I'm so far away from you, you always make sure you’ve got my back. From asking me to take medicines on time, to checking on my food intake you’ve done it all. During these testing times, I only wish for you to be hail and healthy.

All those fun memories while watching movies and gossiping about the characters, baking cakes together and going for long walks sounds so blissful now.

Can’t wait to see you soon.

Take care,
Meghana
