The most basic requirement is that the child’s bones shouldn’t be restricted/pressurized (as happens on hard mattresses) while he/she is sleeping. The mattress should allow the baby to sleep in its natural posture, and hence let the bones develop in an organic way. More importantly, the baby’s skin should breathe too. A Natural Latex or a Memory Foam Bed Mattress is the best option for this purpose. Though they are slightly expensive, they are worth it. When it comes to which one is best to buy mattress online for your kid, you shouldn’t compromise at all. Memory Foam topper is an alternative, but a very nice option to look for.

For a toddler, a Memory Foam mattress is recommended.

2. For body weight between 10 – 35Kgs & 35 – 45Kgs (a mattress for young kids and older people)

The bones of the kids have developed quite strong by now, and what you should focus is on muscle relaxation. If the body’s muscles are cramped, the person will wake up with blood clots due to hindered blood flow while sleeping, and uneasiness. If your child, or your grandparent for that matter, is waking up and stretching his/her muscles for a longer time, it is time to buy mattress online for them. Pocket Spring mattress and Memory Foam mattress serve the purpose for this. Attention though: don’t go for Bonnel Spring mattress because it is the worst for people of any age.

For a young kid, a Memory Foam or Pocket Spring mattress is recommended.

3. For body weight between 45 – 80Kgs (a mattress for youngsters)

People falling in this range of weight are usually hard working, and more often than not, will be stressed due to working through the day. Hence, the expectation from their mattresses are totally different. In fact, it’s only one solid expectation – peaceful sleep.

  1. You don’t want creaking noises coming out of the mattress when you move even a bit – so avoid Spring Mattresses.
  2. You don’t want to flip your sleeping sides too many times during the night (tossing and turning) – so avoid hard mattresses like coir and/or latex mattresses.
  3. You don’t want the mattress to give you back ache when you wake up – so avoid Spring mattresses.
  4. All you want is to sleep like a baby – so choose Memory Foam Mattresses.

For an adult, a Memory Foam or Natural Latex mattress is recommended.

4. For body weight more than 80Kgs (a mattress for overweight adults)

People who are overweight find it extremely difficult to get an answer when it comes to the question of which is the best to buy mattress online? They should look for the following factors:

  1. Surface buoyancy should be very high. This means that the body should float on the mattress instead of sinking into it. So do not go for Latex mattresses or High Density Foam mattresses.
  2. The mattress should be exceptionally breathable. Overweight people tend to sweat more than others, so Coir mattresses or Latex mattresses are a no-no.
  3. It shouldn’t be very hard or very soft mattress, so go for High Resilience Foam mattresses.

For a person weighing more than 80Kgs, a High Resilience Foam mattress with minimum 8 inches of thickness is recommended.
